Summary: The Senior National Account Manager role is a field-based position focused on managing national accounts within the FMCG or OTC sectors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with national grocery, high street, and discount customers.
  • Manage and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs), pricing strategies, contracts, and consistently deliver against sales targets.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and contribute to overall P&L management.
  • Drive brand growth initiatives, expand distribution channels, and enhance commercial performance.
  • Negotiate trade terms to secure mutual long-term value.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Key Account Managers.
  • Promote a collaborative and results-driven team culture aligned with business objectives.
  • Work closely with marketing, trade marketing, customer solutions, and senior commercial teams to deliver on the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Represent the OTC team at senior commercial forums and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation within account management practices.

Job Title: Senior National Account Manager

Are you a dynamic leader with a proven track record in national account management within the FMCG or OTC sectors? Are you passionate about building strong customer relationships, leading high-performing teams, and driving commercial success? Our client is currently seeking a Senior National Account Manager for a 12-month contract.

Role Overview: This is a field-based position with occasional travel (approximately twice a month) to the client’s office located in the Wakefield area for sales and marketing meetings.
