Summary: The Key Account Manager at Gower College Swansea will collaborate with the Head of Employer Engagement to implement the Employer Engagement Strategy, focusing on managing relationships with large levy-paying employers in South Wales and beyond. Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate confidently with key employers’ senior HR/OD representatives to understand their objectives and targets.
  • Work closely with the Head of Work Based Learning to provide accurate information, effective recruitment support, and specialist advice.

  • Track record of achieving targets within a business development role in a commercial training environment.
  • Understanding of Work Based Learning/Apprenticeship provision in Wales and/or England.
  • Experience in developing strong and effective stakeholder relationships.

We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. The role: To work with the Head of Employer Engagement to effectively implement the Employer Engagement Strategy - specifically through Key Account Management of large levy paying employers in South Wales & beyond. Part time (31 hours per week across 5 days) Fixed term for 3 months £32,557 - £34,449 per annum Jubilee Court Campus (Fforestfach)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact between Key Accounts and Gower College Swansea.
  • The role will have a focus on apprenticeship provision - both upskilling existing staff members, but also in the recruitment of new staff into their organisations.
  • Communicate confidently with key employers’ senior HR/OD representatives - understanding their objectives/targets and working with them to achieve these through effective implementation of learning and development support offered via Gower College Swansea.
  • Work closely with the Head of Work Based Learning to ensure that accounts are supplied with the most accurate information, effective recruitment support, and specialist advice and guidance.
