Summary: The Key Account Manager for Car Dealer & Fleet in the UK & Ireland is responsible for maximizing business potential within the car dealer, fleet, and lease networks.   • Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for brand and product mix, gross profit, and unit volume.
  • Develop customer base and ensure market share growth within the channels.
  • Implement marketing and demand creation activities in collaboration with the Marketing team.
  • Utilize a total account management approach to maximize profitable returns.
  • Manage existing local and international fleet agreements.
  • Collaborate with other Key Account Managers to explore new opportunities.

Primary Purpose of the Position

To manage and capitalise on the full business potential of the car dealer, Fleet, and lease networks. Work across key customer channels to identify new opportunities, grow our premium market share with existing routes to market, develop mutual benefits for key customers and improve our overall share in in-direct sales channels. Act as a brand ambassador / champion for Goodyear and associated brands. Implement appropriate value propositions and pricing structures to ensure growth of our car dealer, Fleet and lease Network. Understanding the profit/loss of impact to ensure viability of the account(s). Liaise with appropriate people and functions (cross functional) in the organisation to explore possible links to UK Equity / contracted retail and support demand generation/ enablement of FSD / AD's working with other Key account managers. Act as part of the innovation for the UK organisation - looking for additional opportunities in the fleet & lease market.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Channel strategy development and execution.
  • Work alongside Head of Sales in Consumer to develop, align and execute the agreed growth strategy for the channel.
  • Deliver defined business objectives.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly targets in terms of brand and product mix, gross profit, unit volume, forecast accuracy.
  • Develop network / customer base.
  • Ensure organisation achieves more than its market share within the channels of the role.
  • Develop and apply marketing and demand creation activities for the channel in close alignment with the Marketing team, Key Accounts managers and key stakeholders within our partner distributors.
  • Use a cross functional approach to exploit all opportunities in B2B and B2C environment.
  • Enhance existing opportunities and seek new ones that will contribute to the organisation achieving its annual AOP Ebit targets.
  • Drive customer satisfaction.
  • Utilising the 'total account management' approach, manage every aspect of the channel customers to maximise the profitable return to the organisation through managing and developing sales in, sales out, logistics, ordering, fleet, marketing, education and training - thereby delivering the best in industry customer service.

Education

Key Details

Working with existing distributors and Key Account manager to enable growth and facilitate our share of Car dealer demand. Managing existing local and international fleet agreements. Working with other Key account managers to explore new opportunities in Car dealer and fleet. Liaise with internation fleet and car dealer teams to maximize local results. Will be part of the Key Account team (6 peers). Some travel to Ireland to work with local team and visit key customers. Primary focus will be on Goodyear brand with consideration to leverage Cooper brand to drive improved conditions.
