Summary: A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is seeking a Junior Scrum Master to support a cross-functional Agile delivery team on an internal Agile transformation programme. The role involves facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting collaboration within the team. This position is hybrid, based in Hatfield, and is classified as inside IR35. The contract is set to start ASAP and run until the end of 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Support the team in meeting sprint commitments and maintaining delivery momentum
- Identify, track, and remove day-to-day impediments impacting the team
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure a well-maintained and prioritised backlog
- Provide clear visibility of progress, team capacity, and blockers to stakeholders
- Encourage collaboration, transparency, and effective communication
- Promote continuous improvement through feedback, retrospectives, and incremental changes
- Support adoption of Agile best practices (eg Definition of Done/Ready, quality focus)
- Contribute to improved delivery predictability, team engagement, and overall performance
Key Skills:
- 2-3 years' experience as a Scrum Master or Agile team facilitator within an IT delivery environment
- Working knowledge of Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies
- Understanding of software delivery life cycle (requirements, development, testing)
- Experience using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Teams, and/or Miro
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Collaborative, team-focused approach with good problem-solving ability
- Ability to maintain team focus and escalate issues appropriately
- Scrum certification (PSM I, CSM or equivalent) desirable but not essential
