Summary: The Junior Research Analyst at IN2 will conduct research and analysis on socio-political, security, and economic topics relevant to the MENA region. The role involves monitoring open-source media, developing high-quality program materials, and supporting client relationships. The position requires strong written English skills and a background in quantitative research, particularly in Political Science or International Relations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis on socio-political, security, and economic topics relevant to the MENA region.
  • Monitor open-source media and publicly available information for research and analysis purposes.
  • Synthesize relevant key findings to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Support the development of high-quality programme material for IN2 projects.
  • Assist programme staff in the collection and delivery of high-quality reports to key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the facilitation of relationships with new clients and partners.
  • Draft communications materials and ad-hoc reports to promote IN2’s work.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Research Analysts and business development colleagues as required.

Key Skills:

  • Native English language skills with strong written English and editing experience.
  • Proven experience in statistical analysis and data coding.
  • Exceptional report writing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of and/or prior experience working on MENA, Africa, or Europe.
  • Strong academic background in research and analysis.
  • Able to critically assess sources and information.
  • Comfortable synthesizing research findings in various formats.
  • Recent graduate with a quantitative research background in Political Science/International Relations or similar field.
  • Interest in complex social problems in Africa/MENA.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
