Summary: The role of Junior/Mid Software Developer involves joining a technology team to support trading and transaction processing systems for a leading investment bank. The position requires developing and maintaining an FX Options deal capture platform while collaborating with various stakeholders. The developer will also be responsible for debugging production issues and contributing to technical analysis. This is a contract position based in Central London with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing, maintaining, and supporting an FX Options deal capture and notification platform
- Working closely with developers, business analysts, and support teams to deliver changes into production
- Debugging and resolving production issues (3rd line support)
- Contributing to technical and functional analysis, including breaking work into tasks and tracking progress
- Supporting releases, environment preparation, and pre-production testing
- Producing clear documentation to improve team knowledge and support capability
Key Skills:
- 2/3+ years of continuous commercial development experience
- Strong evidence of individual contributions to sizeable projects
- Demonstrable ownership, proactiveness, and attention to detail
- Communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Banking experience not essential
- C#, C++, Python
- XML, IIS
- Ability to debug and support production systems
Salary (Rate): £650 daily
