Job Title: Junior Java Developer
Location: Glasgow
Salary/Rate: 270.00 Per Day Inside IR35
Start Date: February 2025
Job Type: 12 Month Contract

We are urgently seeking a skilled Junior Java Developer with knowledge of all stages of the Software Development lifecycle to assist with a long term development project for my client within the financial services.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

1. Understanding of Design concepts.
2. Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
3. Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.
4. Experience with back-end programming languages Core Java 11 ,JDBC, Microservices, REST Web Services, Spring Framework
5. Knowledge on cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications is good to have
6. Knowledge of code versioning tools {{such as Git, Mercurial or SVN}}.
7. Maintain code integrity and organisation.
8. Knowledge of security and data protection.


Required Skills/Experience

1. Certified on JDK 17
2. Experience in Java 11 and above
3. Understanding of Java EE architecture, with a focus on EJBs, JPA, and JAX-RS web services
4. Understanding of object-oriented JavaScript, the DOM and JSON
5. Experience writing RESTful web services
6. Experience on writing Automation Testscripts using Selenium / Cucumber
7. Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS database design
8. Agile Methodology
