Summary: The Junior Developer - AI Agent Engineer role involves working on the design, development, and optimization of AI applications and agentic tools for an eCommerce client. Key Responsibilities:
- Work on the development and optimisation of AI applications and agentic tools
- Use Claude Code as an AI-powered coding assistant in your daily workflow
- Maintain documentation for agent design, logic, inputs/outputs and monitoring processes
- Support ongoing monitoring of technology performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvements
Key Skills:
- Experience using tools such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or Autogen to manage state, memory and routing between multiple Claude agents
- Strong knowledge of Claude specific features, such as Tool Use (Function Calling), prompt caching to save costs and optimising context windows
- Proficiency in Python or TypeScript to connect Claude to external databases, vector stores (Pinecone or ChromaDB) and external enterprise API's
- Good understanding of system resilience - the ability to implement fallback mechanisms, error handling and structures outputs (JSON formatting)
- A degree in Computer Science would be advantageous

Our eCommerce client is looking for a Junior Developer (AI Agent Engineer) to join their team on an initial 3 month contract. You will work on the design, development and optimisation of AI and agentic applications, that enhance productivity, streamline services and enrich web development.
