Summary: The Junior Data Protection Analyst role involves supporting data protection initiatives within a regulated organization, focusing on compliance and governance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery and administration of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) across the business
  • Managing and coordinating Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), including logging, tracking, and responding within regulatory timelines
  • Maintaining data protection records such as Records of Processing Activities (RoPA)
  • Assisting with data protection audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to gather information required for DPIAs and DSARs
  • Supporting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Data Privacy Manager with day-to-day governance activities
  • Ensuring documentation is accurate, up to date, and aligned with GDPR and internal policies
  • Responding to ad-hoc data protection and privacy-related queries

Key Skills:

  • A strong interest in data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance
  • Understanding of GDPR principles and data subject rights
  • Experience (or exposure) to DPIAs, DSARs, or data protection administration
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines effectively
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting responses and documentation
  • Experience working with compliance tools, case management systems, or spreadsheets (desirable)
