Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance & develop an existing Azure Databricks data platform to improve performance, scalability & usability
- Design, build & optimise data pipelines using Python & SQL within Azure
- Work closely with analytics & business teams to enable advanced analytics use cases
- Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, processes & platform efficiency
- Contribute to best practice engineering standards within a cloud-native environment
Key Skills:
- 1 -2 years' hands-on experience as a Data Engineer in Azure environments. Insurance or Specialist Insurance experience would be beneficial.
- Strong Python coding capability with demonstrable experience building production-grade pipelines
- Solid SQL expertise & experience working with structured & unstructured datasets
- Proven experience working with Azure Databricks

The organisation has invested significantly in building out a modern Databricks-based data platform over recent years. The focus now shifts to driving value from that investment, enhancing, optimising & further developing the platform to support advanced analytics & business insight.
You will have demonstrated experience building & optimizing pipelines using ADF, with strong Python & SQL coding ability & demonstratable experience working on Databricks platform.
