Summary: The Junior Data Analyst role is a contract position focused on supporting data analysis, reporting, and insights for operational and transformation initiatives. The analyst will work with raw data to create structured datasets, dashboards, and actionable insights for business stakeholders. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like Power BI and SQL. The role is hybrid, requiring one day a week in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret data from multiple sources
- Clean, validate, and prepare datasets
- Build dashboards and reports using Power BI (including DAX)
- Develop data models (eg star schema)
- Support stakeholders with reporting and data requirements
- Track key metrics and performance trends
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability
Key Skills:
- Strong Power BI (dashboarding, DAX)
- Solid SQL for data extraction and transformation
- Good Excel/data manipulation skills
- Understanding of data modelling concepts
- Ability to work with incomplete or messy data
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
- Python experience (desirable)
- Exposure to Azure/Fabric environments (desirable)
