Summary: The Jira Migration Manager role at FDM involves leading a significant Atlassian migration project within the banking sector, focusing on the transition from a Cloud Instance to a Group hosted Cloud instance. The position requires strong Jira and Confluence expertise, along with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. This is a hybrid role based in London, initially contracted for six months with potential for extension. The successful candidate will also support the development of new working methodologies post-migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing key progress check points for the Atlassian migration and ensuring this does not impact change delivery
  • Communicating migration progress, risks and issues to key senior stakeholders
  • Leading the way alongside senior Atlassian admins in ensuring the seamless migration from the current Cloud Instance to a new Group hosted Cloud instance
  • Supporting in building a new way of working post migration, including building in depth MI and reporting to support large scale change delivery
  • Responsible for supporting all new ways of working post migration to ensure the continuation of change delivery

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in migration management
  • Strong commercial Jira and Confluence experience, including administration functions and integration with add-ons such as Scriptrunner, EazyBI, Xray
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and how the Atlassian Tool features in change delivery
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised and capable communicator who can manage and execute a technical Atlassian migration
  • Ability to solve complex challenges

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Jira Migration Manager to work for our client within the banking sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London. Our client is seeking a Jira Migration Manager to lead their dynamic team in both migrating an existing Atlassian Suite and resolving all issues experienced with ways of working post migration. You’ll be leading a large scale Atlassian migration, with a focus on improving the test tools Jira, Confluence and any add-ons that may come into scope post migration.
