Summary: The role of Jira/Confluence Administrator at DWP involves leading the migration and ongoing administration of Jira and Confluence systems within a hybrid working environment. The position requires expertise in Atlassian tools to enhance project management capabilities and improve service delivery for the Department for Work and Pensions. Candidates must possess SC Clearance and demonstrate a deep understanding of Jira and Confluence in a complex environment. This is a 12-month contract classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, design, and perform the migration of Jira and Confluence installations.
- Provide ongoing enhancement and administration of Jira and Confluence.
- Develop new Jira projects to support business needs within Working Age Services.
- Integrate Jira with Service Now for strategic incident management.
- Optimize and improve performance of Jira and Confluence.
- Co-design effective Jira workflows with delivery leaders.
- Manage requests for new users, spaces, and customized workflows.
- Review and improve security groups and roles for better management.
Key Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with Atlassian plugins and scripting (e.g., Groovy for ScriptRunner).
- Proven ability to safely migrate Jira and Confluence projects and users.
- Strong understanding of agile project development environments.
- Ability to work closely with users to identify and meet their needs.
- Experience in performance tuning and administration of Jira/Confluence.
