Summary: The role of Java Developer involves maintaining and enhancing both legacy and newer front-end screens, alongside backend development and database management. This is a full-time onsite position based in Glasgow for a contract duration of 4 to 6 months. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Strong experience in Java and familiarity with extJS and React are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications.
- Support and enhance legacy front-end screens built with extJS.
- Develop and maintain newer front-end screens using React.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot Oracle SQL queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in Java development, including backend services and application logic.
- Experience working with extJS for maintaining and enhancing older UI screens.
- Familiarity with React for developing and maintaining newer UI components.
- Solid skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries in Oracle databases.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
