Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining, monitoring, and improving live services within a classified environment
  • Supporting build, test, and deployment pipelines across multiple development teams
  • Troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and responding promptly to incidents
  • Managing infrastructure using modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tooling and container platforms
  • Ensuring high system availability and responsiveness across multiple data centre environments

Key Skills:

  • Experience in secure managed services or production support environments
  • Strong understanding of Linux-based systems and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in Java, Maven, NPM, Cypress, Git, Terraform, Ansible, OpenShift, RHEL/CentOS, Docker, InfluxDB, Grafana, Oracle (or equivalent RDBMS), AMQP, and S3-compatible object storage systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot application-level and platform-level issues
  • Active UK*C DV Clearance

We are partnering with a key client who is seeking a Java Support Engineer to join their growing team on a contract basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in secure managed services or production support environments, possess a strong understanding of Linux-based systems and CI/CD pipelines, and be confident supporting both application-level issues and platform-level challenges.

You will be embedded within a collaborative team responsible for:

  • Maintaining, monitoring, and improving live services within a classified environment
  • Supporting build, test, and deployment pipelines across multiple development teams
  • Troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and responding promptly to incidents
  • Managing infrastructure using modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tooling and container platforms
  • Ensuring high system availability and responsiveness across multiple data centre environments

Technical Environment Includes:

  • Java, Maven, NPM for application builds
  • Cypress for automated testing
  • Git for source control
  • Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure configuration
  • OpenShift, RHEL/CentOS, and Docker for deployment targets
  • InfluxDB and Grafana for monitoring and observability
  • Oracle (or equivalent RDBMS), AMQP, and S3-compatible object storage systems
