Summary: Insight Global is seeking Java Engineers for a 1-year ongoing contract with a leading financial institution in Birmingham. The role involves maintaining and enhancing existing products within the Corporate Treasury Engineering group, focusing on design, development, and testing to improve user experiences and service reliability. Candidates will engage in core development tasks and technical analysis while collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Strong communication skills and adaptability are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance existing products to support daily operations.
- Participate in the design, development, and testing of new products and enhancements.
- Analyze legacy code and migrate it to the latest versions or write new code based on vulnerability analysis.
- Collaborate with global business users and developers.
- Work independently while being flexible and adaptable to various tasks.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in Java coding and software delivery at scale.
- Experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as DB2, SQL, Mongo, and microservices architectures.
- Strong hands-on experience with SDLC, including technical analysis and release deployment.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
