Key Responsibilities:
- Build complex, highly scalable greenfield solutions with international scope.
- Develop enterprise-grade microservices architected applications.
- Utilize strong framework experience (Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot).
- Implement and manage RDBMS and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Conduct troubleshooting using tools like Splunk and ELK.
- Manage version control with Git.
- Engage in automation practices, including CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Leverage AWS cloud services.
- Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Understand microservices and serverless architecture.
Key Skills:
- At least 5 years of commercial Java experience.
- Strong framework experience (Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot).
- Strong RDBMS experience.
- NoSQL experience, particularly with MongoDB.
- Troubleshooting exposure (Splunk, ELK).
- Git version control proficiency.
- Automation experience (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid AWS cloud exposure.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Understanding of microservices/serverless architecture.

Java Software Engineer is sought on a contract basis by a market FinTech with hubs across the UK. This Java Software Engineer will be tasked with building complex, highly scalable greenfield solutions with international scope. As such experience working on enterprise grade microservices architected applications is a key must have. This Java Software Engineer should have most of the following key skills:
- At least 5 years commercial java experience ideally gained building enterprise grade applications
- Strong framework experience (spring, hibernate, spring boot etc)
- Strong RDBMS experience
- NoSQL, MongoDB etc
- Troubleshooting exposure
- Splunk, ELK etc
- Git version control
- Automation experience
- CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes would be a real plus
- Solid AWS cloud exposure
- TDD experience
- Microservices/ serverless architecture understanding
This contract role is offered on a rolling 3 month basis and is paying between £550 & £600 per day outside of IR35. Due to the national nature of this role the ability to travel and be on-site one day a week would be hugely beneficial. The ability to start within 2 weeks would also be preferred.
