Summary: Our international client is seeking a Java Developer for a freelance B2B contract lasting 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension. The role requires on-site work in Belfast for three days a week, complemented by two remote days. The project is expected to continue for over two years, focusing on data engineering and microservices development. English proficiency is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java applications using frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Optimize SQL queries and performance tuning for large datasets.
- Utilize AWS services for data engineering tasks.
- Implement data pipelines, ETL workflows, and event-driven architectures.
- Contribute to the development of microservices.
- Work with financial data, including reference, counterparty, and instrument data.
Key Skills:
