We're working with a leading global financial organisation looking to hire an experienced Backend Engineer to join a high-performing technology team focused on risk platforms. This is an opportunity to design and build scalable systems that power critical risk data and analytics, working on complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop scalable Back End applications using Java and/or Python.
• Build distributed services that support risk data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.
• Optimise system performance, reliability and scalability across enterprise platforms.

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial experience with Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python.
• Experience building distributed systems or microservices within enterprise environments.
• Exposure to risk technology, risk data, or risk analytics within financial services.
• Solid understanding of system design, data processing and modern software engineering practices.
