Summary: The Java GCP Developer role involves designing and reviewing solutions according to project requirements, executing development activities, and ensuring timely delivery of projects within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for a Payments Data Platform. The position requires hands-on experience with GCP technologies, coding in Java, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. The developer will also participate in a support rota and must communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and review solutions according to requirements.
  • Execute project-specific development activities in line with standards and quality parameters.
  • Develop and review code, ensuring delivery within schedule.
  • Deliver end-to-end projects within GCP for Payments Data Platform.
  • Participate in monthly support rota for GCP 24X7 on-call.
  • Work under pressure on deliverables, including P1 violations and incidents.
  • Follow Agile methodologies and support developed code in production environments.

Key Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with GCP Pub/Sub.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting and Python.
  • In-depth knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Apache Beam and Data Flow.
  • Experience managing large databases (Big Table, Big Query, Cloud Storage Bucket).
  • Familiarity with Payments ISO standards and message types.
  • Mandatory skills: Hibernate, Java, Microservices, MS SQL, Spring Boot, JUnit, JPA, GCP Fundamentals.

Job description

Design and Review the Solution according to the requirement

Execute project specific development activities in accordance to applicable standards and quality parameters

Developing Reviewing Code

Setting up the right environment for the projects

Ensure delivery within schedule by adhering to the engineering and quality standards

Deliver end to end projects within GCP for Payments Data Platform

Once a month available on support rota for a week for GCP 24X7 on call

Basic Knowledge on Payments ISO standards Message Types etc

Able to work under pressure on deliverables P1 Violations Incidents

Should be fluent and clear in communications Written Verbal

Should be able to follow Agile ways of working

Must have Hands on experience on GCP Pub Sub Hands on is a must

Shell script and Python knowledge a plus

Have in depth knowledge on Java Spring boot

Should have experience in Apache Beam Data Flow

Should have experience on managing large database Big Table Big Query Cloud Storage Bucket
