Hamilton Barnes is representing a leading bank who are looking to hire multiple Lead Java Full Stack Engineers. We are seeking a talented Java Full Stack Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team for a 6-month contract opportunity based in Glasgow.

As a Java Full Stack Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in an agile team, focusing on enhancing, constructing, and delivering top-tier technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Think beyond routine approaches to build innovative solutions or resolve complex technical challenges.
• Write secure, high-quality production code.
• Review and debug code written by other team members to maintain coding standards.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering.
• Drive awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.

What You Will Ideally Bring/Skillset

• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing software solutions.
• Proven ability to execute secure and high-quality production code.
• Expertise in technical troubleshooting and debugging.
• Exposure to agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with application resiliency and security principles.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber for unit and automation testing.
