Summary: We are seeking a skilled Java Developer for a 6-month contract in London, focusing on impactful projects within the oil and gas industry. The role involves developing and maintaining various applications while collaborating with stakeholders to design effective solutions. Candidates should possess advanced Java knowledge and experience with relevant tools and technologies. This position may offer remote work possibilities, subject to confirmation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain desktop, client-server, and rich client applications using AWT, Swing, and JavaFX.
- Conduct comprehensive UI testing to ensure seamless user experience.
- Collaborate closely with Front Office stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective solutions.
- Apply advanced knowledge of Java 17, IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, GIT, Jenkins, and RESTful Web Services.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Java 17 and related development tools (IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, GIT, Jenkins).
- Experience with AWT, Swing, and JavaFX for application development.
- Strong understanding of RESTful Web Services.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, JPA, Kerberos, AWS, Ansible, Docker, and OpenShift is a plus.
- Experience with BDD and Cucumber is desirable.
