Summary: The Java Developer role focuses on developing scalable, API-driven systems with a strong emphasis on Back End services and integration using MuleSoft. Candidates should possess robust experience in Java, microservices architecture, and REST APIs. The position is based in Glasgow and requires on-site work five days a week for an initial duration of six months. This role is ideal for developers who thrive in complex system integrations and enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Back End services and microservices architecture.
- Integrate systems using MuleSoft and support API development.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure effective system integration.
- Implement CI/CD practices and automated testing.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Key Skills:
- Strong Java (8+) with Spring Boot/Spring.
- Experience with microservices & REST APIs.
- Hands-on MuleSoft (Mule 4) - Anypoint Platform, API development, JSON/XML.
- Understanding of integration patterns & architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD and Git.
- Knowledge of TDD & automated testing.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Full-stack or Front End exposure (JSF) is a plus.
- AWS/cloud experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools like Gradle, Ansible, GoCD.
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, MongoDB.
- Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., JMS).
- Enterprise/client-facing experience is a plus.
Salary (Rate): £500.00 Daily

My client is looking for for Java Developers with strong Back End and integration experience to support the development of scalable, API-driven systems. This role will focus on Back End services, microservices architecture, and integration using MuleSoft, making it ideal for developers who enjoy working on complex system integrations and enterprise platforms.
