Summary: A Java Developer with financial services experience is sought for a 12-month hybrid contract role based in Northampton. The position requires expertise in advanced Java technologies and collaboration with global teams, while adhering to inside IR35 regulations. The role emphasizes Agile development and involves mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build solutions for a Distributed computing platform using Advanced Java, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, BPM, JMS, and in-memory computing.
- Work in an Agile development model to deliver steady build features.
- Collaborate with geographically located global teams for critical feature developments and issue resolution.
- Partner with leads and QA team on UAT builds and facilitate sign-offs for business use cases.
- Develop unit tests using Junit, Mockito, and SonarQube to enhance code coverage and quality.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines in TeamCity and resolve impediments for clean builds.
- Develop UNIX scripts and Database scripts as needed during feature development.
- Participate in project and scrum calls to ensure timely delivery of features and raise issues.
- Provide knowledge transfer sessions, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
Key Skills:
- Experience in financial services.
- Proficiency in Advanced Java, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, BPM, JMS, and in-memory computing.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience in developing unit tests with Junit, Mockito, and SonarQube.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, specifically TeamCity.
