Senior Java Developer - TDD - Paying up to £600 Inside IR35 - Hybrid (London) - 6 month contract
We're partnering with a large, internationally recognised digital platform business that delivers content and services to millions of users daily.They're looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team building scalable, customer-facing products used at massive scale.
This is a great opportunity to work on complex, high-traffic systems in an environment that values clean code, modern engineering practices, and continuous innovation.
The Role- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable Back End services using Java
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy across key platforms
- Work closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams in an agile environment
- Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability across services
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
Tech Stack
- Java (Java 11+/17 preferred)
- TDD
- Spring Boot/Microservices architecture
- RESTful APIs
- AWS/Cloud-based infrastructure
- Docker & Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar)
Requirements
- Strong experience building Back End systems in Java
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong knowledge of API design and system scalability
- Comfortable working in agile, collaborative teams
