What You Would Do
- Designing and developing microservices using Java, Spring Boot and Spring frameworks
- Building and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with distributed systems
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines and containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes
- Writing clean, maintainable code and collaborating on code reviews
- Troubleshooting and optimising performance across cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
- Contributing to architectural decisions and technical design discussions
- Working with SQL databases and managing data pipelines
- Supporting deployment and infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform
What You Could Bring
- Must-have Proficiency in Java with proven experience developing production applications
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring frameworks and microservices architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and modern DevOps tooling
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
- Nice-to-have Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE Programmer or Oracle Certified Associate: Java SE certification
- Spring Professional (VMware) certification
- Experience with API design, RESTful principles and distributed systems
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging and observability tools
- Knowledge of additional languages such as Python or Bash
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices
