Summary: The Java Developer role based in Knutsford involves strong programming and analytical skills, primarily using Core Java and developing microservices architecture with Spring Boot. Key Responsibilities:
- Gathering requirements from the business analyst team.
- Analyse new technical requirements within the development team.
- Develop and unit test applications using Java/Java 8, REST, Python, JUnit, Cucumber, etc.
- Exposure to AI.
- Experience in GitHub, Jenkins, pipeline, agile, SDLC, design methodology, API, TDD.
- Writing SQL, database procedures, and optimizing performance of queries and stored procedures.
- Sprint planning and attending retrospective calls, daily stand-up calls for the agile scrum process.
- Reviewing JIRA and acceptance criteria for tasks planned for the sprint with the team.
- Discussion with QA team for any QA/UAT release and discussing test plans.
- Following the release management process and planning for production turnover.
- Providing support for critical production issues.
- Keeping technical documents and project artifacts up to date.
- Planning and executing the migration of old applications to the new platform.
- Reviewing and optimizing the performance of the application on Java and database side.
