Summary: The Java Developer role involves working on a 12-month contract within an agile squad, focusing on developing Java services that interact via messaging for real-time product outputs. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java services within an agile squad.
• Participate in Level 3 production support rota shared globally among developers.
• Engage in various development tasks, including tuning stored procedures and scripting.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
• Adapt to different development environments as needed.

Key Skills:

• Core Server Side Java including Data Structures and Concurrency.
• Experience with Spring and Junit.
• Proficiency in Linux.
• Knowledge of Relational Databases (preferably Sybase and/or DB2) and ability to write SQL queries.
• Understanding of message-based architectures.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Full SDLC experience and understanding.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Interest in learning the business supported by the applications.
• Knowledge of agile software development practices.
