Summary: Lorien's banking client is seeking an experienced Java Developer with expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, and Hibernate for a 6-month contract. The position is hybrid, requiring two days a week on-site in either Edinburgh or London. The role is classified as inside IR35 via an umbrella company. Candidates should have a strong background in microservices architecture and event-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using Java 17, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • Work with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Implement and manage RESTful APIs and message queues.
  • Collaborate on unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices.

Lorien's leading banking client is looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong experience in Java17, Spring Boot and Hibernate to join the expanding team on an initial 6month contract.

This role is based in Edinburgh or London.

This role will be Inside IR35 Via Umbrella

Working in a Hybrid Model of 2 days a week on site.

Key Skills and Experiences

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Java 17 +
  • Proficiency working with applications based on microservices architecture.
  • Spring boot and Hibernate
  • Experience with Apache Kafka
