Summary: The role is for a Java Developer at a leading investment bank in Birmingham, requiring strong skills in Java, Spring, and Microservices Architecture. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software solutions using Java (11+), Spring, and Microservices Architecture.
- Utilize Kafka for messaging and MongoDB for data storage.
- Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure high-quality code through attention to detail and self-motivation.
Key Skills:
- 4 - 6 years of development experience with a focus on Java.
- Proficiency in Java 11+, Spring, and Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with Kafka and MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of SDLC.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Gitlab and test automation tools (JUnit, Mocking, Gherkin).
Salary (Rate): £500 daily

I am looking for Java Developer to work for a World leading Investment bank located in Birmingham on a 12 month contract. You will be an Java Developer with strong skills in Java (11+), Spring, Microservices Architecture, Kafka, Mongo DB, SDLC and a previous Banking or Financial Services background. We are looking for a candidate who has no more than 6 years worth of IT work experience, please do not apply if you have over 6 years worth of experience. Skills: 4 - 6 years of Development experience with a focus in Java Java 11+ Spring Kafka for messaging - to some extent or equivalent MongoDB - to some extent or equivalent Experience working with microservices architecture Strong understanding of SDLC Excellent communication and follow-through, analytical, self-motivated, attention to detail Nice to haves: Gitlab - experience with others is generally fine, they can learn GitlabTest automation (JUnit, Mocking, Gherkin) - candidate does not need deep expertise in all, should have some general experience in automation The role is an initial 12 month contract and located in the Birmingham office 5 days per week.
