Summary: The Java AWS Developer role is a contract position based in Knutsford, requiring expertise in Java and AWS technologies. The successful candidate will engage in various development tasks, including coding, testing, and collaborating with teams in an agile environment. The position demands strong programming skills and familiarity with microservices architecture. Candidates must complete a coding assessment to demonstrate their technical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gathering requirements from the business analyst team.
  • Analyse any new technical requirements within the development team.
  • Develop and unit test the application using Java/Java 8, REST, python, junit, cucumber etc.
  • Exposure to AI.
  • Experienced in Github Jenkins, pipeline, agile, SDLC, design methodology, API,TDD.
  • Writing SQL, DB procedures, performance optimization of the queries and stored procedures.
  • Sprint planning and attending retrospective call, daily stand-up call for the agile scrum process.
  • Review the JIRA and acceptance criteria for any task planned for the sprint with the team.
  • Discussion with QA team for any QA/UAT release and discuss the test plans.
  • Follow the release management process and plan for any production turnover.
  • Providing support for critical production issues.
  • Keeping the technical document and the project artefacts up to date.
  • Planning and executing the migration of old applications to the new platform.
  • Review and optimize the performance of the application on Java and database side.

Key Skills:

  • Strong programming and analytical skills using Core Java.
  • Experience developing Microservices Architecture using Spring Boot.
  • Proficient with Restful API development, Java 8 features & Kafka.
  • Working experience with git/github/gitlab.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn new technologies.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with good commitment levels.
  • ReactJS knowledge is preferred.

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Java AWS Developer to join their team for a three-month contract.

Candidates will be required to complete a HackerEarth coding assessment to evaluate their technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
