Summary: The role of Java AWS Developer involves developing and unit testing applications using Java and related technologies while working in a hybrid environment. Candidates must complete a coding assessment and demonstrate strong programming skills, particularly in Core Java and Microservices Architecture. The position requires collaboration with various teams and adherence to agile methodologies. The contract is set to last until September 30, 2025, and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete a HackerEarth coding assessment to evaluate technical skills.
- Develop and unit test applications using Java/Java 8, REST, Python, JUnit, Cucumber, etc.
- Gather requirements from the business analyst team and analyze new technical requirements.
- Work with Microservices Architecture using Spring Boot and develop Restful APIs.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives in an agile scrum process.
- Review JIRA tasks and acceptance criteria for sprint planning.
- Provide support for critical production issues and keep technical documentation up to date.
- Plan and execute the migration of old applications to the new platform.
- Optimize application performance on both Java and database sides.
Key Skills:
- Strong programming and analytical skills using Core Java.
- Experience with Microservices Architecture and Spring Boot.
- Proficient in Restful API development, Java 8 features, and Kafka.
- Working experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of ReactJS is preferred.
- Experience with SQL, database procedures, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with GitHub Jenkins, pipeline, agile methodologies, and SDLC.
- Exposure to AI technologies.

Role Description:

Strong programming and analytical skills using Core Java
Experience developing Micro services Architecture using Spring Boot
Proficient with Restful API dev, Java 8 features & Kafka
Working experience with git/github/gitlab
Enthusiastic and willing to learn new technologies
Good communication skill.
Positive Attitude with good commitment levels
ReactJS knowledge is preferred
Gathering requirements from the business analyst team.
Analyse any new technical requirements within the development team.

Experienced in Github Jenkins, pipeline, agile, SDLC, design methodology, API,TDD
Writing SQL,DB procedures, performance optimization of the queries and stored procedures.
Sprint planning and attending retrospective call, daily stand-up call for the agile scrum process.
Review the JIRA and acceptance criteria for any task planned. For the sprint with the team.
Discussion with QA team for any qa/UAT release and discuss the test plans
Follow the release management process and plan for any production turnover.
Providing support for critical production issue.
Keeping the technical document and the project artefacts up to date.
Planning and executing the migration of old applications to the new platform.
Review and optimize the performance of the application on Java and database side.
