Summary: The ITSM Technical Specialist role is a contract position focused on overseeing the implementation and configuration of ITSM tools to enhance service delivery. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine ITSM processes and provide expert guidance on troubleshooting technical issues. This position requires a strong understanding of ITIL best practices and a commitment to continuous improvement within the ITSM framework. The role is based in Alderney, Channel Islands, with remote working options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation and configuration of ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Ivanti, etc.) to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ITSM tools, providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Maintain system configurations and integrations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and best practices.
- Provide training and support to staff on ITSM processes, tools, and policies.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts, driving automation and process enhancements within the ITSM framework.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with ITSM tools, preferably ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) best practices and frameworks.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and managing ITSM processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant ITSM certifications (ITIL, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist) preferred.
