ITSM/Release Management Consultant - Discovery Phase

Summary: The role of ITSM/Release Management Consultant involves leading a discovery engagement for a public sector client, focusing on assessing and improving release management processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a structured discovery phase over 6-8 weeks
• Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops with stakeholders across digital, IT, and service management teams
• Map current-state release management processes, governance, and tooling
• Perform a maturity and gap analysis against ITIL v4 frameworks
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
• Develop clear process documentation, visuals, and findings
• Produce and present a Discovery Report with actionable recommendations

Key Skills:

• Proven experience leading ITSM or Release Management discovery phases
• Strong understanding of ITIL v4 (Foundation certification preferred)
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
