Summary: The IT Systems Administrator role is a 3-month contract position with the potential for permanent employment, focused on supporting and maintaining a modern IT environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong infrastructure and networking experience, working primarily in a hybrid setting in central London. Responsibilities include managing IT infrastructure and providing technical support for various Microsoft services. The position requires excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of networking concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services
- Administer Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and server roles
- Maintain and support Microsoft Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, and Hyper-V
- Configure and troubleshoot networking components such as switches and Wi-Fi access points
- Support DNS, DHCP, and printing services
- Provide technical support and resolve infrastructure-related issues
- Assist with system upgrades, installations, and ongoing maintenance
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with strong written and spoken English
- Solid understanding of desktop and server networking concepts (Microsoft and Linux preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies
- DNS, DHCP, and printing protocols
- Microsoft Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, and Hyper-V
- Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure installation and support
- Knowledge of networking hardware such as switches and wireless access points
- Desirable: Experience working in a multi-site or enterprise environment
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco)
