Summary: The role of IT System Admin focuses on the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software within an organization. The position requires participation in technical research and development to foster innovation in infrastructure while ensuring adherence to organizational values. The role is primarily on-site in Belfast, UK, and involves supporting end-user computing activities. The individual will also manage IT assets and contribute to system standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software.
- Participating in technical research and development for infrastructure innovation.
- Ensuring adherence to organizational values in system operations.
- Managing IT assets including acquisition, deployment, utilization, tracking, security, and disposition.
- Installing and configuring workstations and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures.
- Contributing to and maintaining system standards.
- Performing information technology management activities.
- Providing floor support and shipping duties as assigned.
Key Skills:
- Five years of experience with End User Computing activities on Workstations.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in hardware technology and configurations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Office 365.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices.
- Experience in machine imaging and hardware/software troubleshooting.
