Summary: The IT Support Technician role involves providing day-to-day support for IT issues, managing the service desk, and resolving both simple and complex incidents. The position requires overseeing helpdesk ticket management and ensuring the proper deployment and support of various hardware and software systems. This is a contract position for an initial period of three months, aimed at supporting a dynamic team in delivering high-quality IT services. The role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and effective communication within the IT department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Streamline service desk, monitoring support tickets and solving issues.
  • Deploy and support large numbers of Windows PCs, iPads, and iPhones.
  • Active Directory management – users, security groups, distribution lists.
  • Ensure asset list is kept up to date with all company-owned hardware.
  • Facilitate the repair or replacement of iPads, iPhones, computers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Maintain hardware and software audits; order consumables and other equipment.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties specified by the Head of IT.
  • Assist in creating a structured approach to rolling out new hardware and software.
  • Install new software and hardware and ensure latest software upgrades are implemented.
  • End user engagement/training when required.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining user accounts and mailboxes.
  • Management of Office 365 products - User licence assignments and inTune management.

Key Skills:

  • Proven work experience in IT Support or support technician role.
  • Recognised IT qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Able to think creatively and problem solve.
  • Works well with others to achieve results.
  • Adaptable communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Apple Business Manager.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001.
