About The Role
Are you early in your IT support career and looking for a role where you can build solid, hands-on experience in a busy, technical environment? Are you someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and being the go-to person when things don’t quite work as they should? Are you comfortable working on site most of the week, while also supporting colleagues remotely across a wider business?
We’re looking for an IT Support Technician to join our Group Services team initially on a 12 month contract. Based primarily from our Banbury office, this is a hands-on role supporting a fast-paced technology and data-focused office where large volumes of ecological survey data are generated and managed. You’ll be a visible, trusted presence on site, while also working closely with our central IT team to provide remote support across the wider group. This role is hybrid, but you’ll typically spend around four days per week in the Banbury office, providing in-person support to local teams.
You’ll handle a wide range of first-line software and hardware queries, support new starters, help keep systems running smoothly, and play a key role in ensuring people can do their jobs effectively. You’ll also regularly interact with colleagues at all levels; from field staff and analysts through to senior leaders - so clear communication and a calm, helpful approach are essential.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
