Summary: Akkodis is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join a reputable client in the Financial Services sector, focusing on expanding their IT Support team. The role involves providing support to users across the EMEA region, including the trading team, with responsibilities in Service Desk support, hardware, and floorwalking. The position is a 6-month contract with potential extensions, requiring a solution-focused professional with strong customer service skills and relevant experience. The role is based on-site in London three days a week and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support to users across the EMEA region.
- Assist with Service Desk support, hardware issues, and floorwalking.
- Minimize downtime for the trading team and other business units.
- Engage in business-as-usual (BAU) support and project support.
Key Skills:
- 2-3 years of experience in a Service Desk/IT Support role.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional manner.
- Experience with ServiceNow on a busy Service Desk.
- Good understanding of ITIL.
- Experience with laptop builds and knowledge of Hardware Asset Management life cycle within ServiceNow.

Akkodis are partnering with a highly reputable client within the Financial Services sector on the continued expansion of their IT Support team. The team of 16 supports users across the EMEA region on a wide range of issues. Responsibilities are shared across Service Desk support, Hardware and Floorwalking. You will be supporting users across the whole business and at all levels including the trading team that need to minimise downtime at every opportunity.
We are looking for a positive, solution-focused IT Support professional with excellent customer service skills. You will be involved in BAU support as well as project support.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in a Service Desk/IT Support role
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional manor
- ServiceNow experience on a busy Service Desk
- A good understanding of ITIL
- Experience with laptop builds and good understanding of the Hardware Asset Management life cycle within ServiceNow
This is an initial 6 month contract opportunity with a very high possibility for multiple extensions. The role is based 3 days a week on site in London (near Liverpool Street, Shoreditch and Moorgate).The role has been deemed inside of IR35.
