Summary: The role of IT Support Engineer involves providing first and second line support in an IT Service Desk environment, primarily focusing on Windows 10 and ITIL frameworks. The position requires SC Security Clearance and is based in Wiltshire, with an initial on-site requirement transitioning to hybrid working. Candidates must have local transport due to the remote location of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain IT services while providing assistance to users via the IT Service Desk.
- Handle and manage incoming calls to the IT Service Desk and log incidents within the Service Management tool.
- Ensure all IT incidents and service requests are resolved efficiently and recorded appropriately.
- Work in an SC Security Cleared environment.
Key Skills:
- Good knowledge and experience with ITIL v3 or v4.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Knowledge of antivirus software and desktop installation.
- ITIL V3 Foundation certification.
- Experience supporting desktop PCs, including hardware.
- Understanding of software licensing, particularly Microsoft Volume Licensing (desirable).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines.
