Summary: The IT Support Engineer will play a crucial role in a hardware migration and deployment project at a secure defence site near Poole Harbour. This hands-on position involves supporting end-user device refreshes and ensuring a smooth transition for users. The role requires active security clearance and experience in IT deployments. The contract is set to run from October 24th to December 16th.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a Refresh Clinic to support the device migration
- Relocate devices between storage and clinic areas as instructed
- Perform device refreshes, including handover and collection from users
- Log into devices and follow configuration steps under supervision
- Update the workflow management system accurately at every stage
- Escalate unresolved issues to Post-Migration Support or Site Manager
- Conduct daily stock checks and assist with secure storage of hardware
- Label and package returned devices for refurbishment or disposal
Key Skills:

This is a hands-on role within the Early Life Support (ELS) team, focused on end-user device refreshes and supporting users through the transition.
