IT Support Engineer
Office: London
Role type: Permanent, fulltime.
Hybrid – 4 days in office.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end users.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Manage and respond to support tickets within agreed service levels.
- Escalate complex technical issues where appropriate.
- Infrastructure & Systems Support
- Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and Windows environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Assist with server, network, and cloud-based infrastructure maintenance.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Security & Compliance Support
- Support cyber security initiatives and best practices.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Assist with software patching, updates, and endpoint protection.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data security requirements.
- Project Support
- Assist with IT projects, upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of IT services and processes.
Skills & Experience
- Essential
- Experience in an IT Support Engineer, Service Desk Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.
- Understanding of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Intune.
- Knowledge of cyber security principles.
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Coding in SharePoint and Power Apps
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
