Summary: The IT Support Engineer role involves providing IT support services to academies in Liverpool for a minimum of six months, with the possibility of extension. The position requires a valid Enhanced DBS on the update service and entails both remote and on-site support. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of ICT systems and resolving technical issues. Immediate availability is preferred for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel between Trust Academies to provide IT support
- Ensure the smooth running of ICT systems to facilitate teaching, learning, administration and leadership
- To provide remote and face to face technical support in line with the Academy's ICT support service definition
- Perform routine maintenance tasks for user accounts; run basic network monitoring reports and utilities
- Set up hardware and perform basic checking of networked PCs, including diagnosis of networking/Server/Proxy issues
- Detect, diagnose and resolve PC, peripheral and application errors
- Roll out apps via the MDM
- Install new hardware, repair current hardware and reload software on desktops/laptops following release management procedures
Key Skills:
- An IT technical background
- Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols and configurations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues effectively
- Evidence of being a good communicator

- Good technical skills

A school in Liverpool is on lookout for an IT Support Engineer to provide IT Support services to the Liverpool based academies. This is a minimum 6 month contract with potential for further extension. For this role, you will need to have a valid and enhanced DBS on the update service as they are looking for someone to start immediately.
