Summary: The IT Support Engineer role based in Northwich involves providing high-quality IT support on a fully on-site basis. The position is initially for a 6-week contract with the possibility of extension, focusing on the effective operation and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. Candidates must possess an Enhanced DBS on the update service and be prepared to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students across all academies.
  • Deliver guidance, training and support on IT systems and applications.
  • Respond to centralized service desk tickets, troubleshooting issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
  • Set up and configure IT equipment including desktops, laptops, tablets, Chromebooks, iPads, printers and AV equipment.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in IT support or service desk environment.
  • Experience supporting networks, devices and users.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, networks and common applications.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 and cloud systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
  • Access to a car with a full UK driving license.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service.

Our client in Northwich is looking for an IT Support Engineer to start immediately on an initial 6 week contract with potential for further extension. You will provide high-quality IT support across ensuring the effective operation, maintenance and development of IT systems, devices and infrastructure to support business operations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students across all academies.
  • Deliver guidance, training and support on IT systems and applications.
