Summary: The IT Desktop Support role involves providing 1st and 2nd line support for both Windows and Mac systems within a corporate environment. The position is based in Hammersmith, requiring on-site presence five days a week during standard working hours. The successful candidate will assist corporate end-users with technical support and ensure the smooth operation of the delivery center. Immediate availability is preferred for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st/2nd line IT desktop support for Windows and Mac software & hardware.
- Assist corporate end-users in corporate offices and remote locations with technical support.
- Ensure smooth operations of the delivery center.
- Handle specifications, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals.
- Manage a large quantity of support tickets in an organized and efficient manner.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 2 years desktop support experience.
- Experience working in a corporate environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in installing and supporting Windows 10/11.
- Experience installing and supporting Mac OS.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts including TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with common workplace productivity applications.
- Experience installing software, patches, and updates on desktops and laptops.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Apple and Samsung mobile devices.
- Experience administering IT management tools such as MDM and Active Directory.
Salary (Rate): £226.00 Daily

IT Desktop Support Role
My corporate client is looking for a credible IT Desktop Support contractor to provide 1st/2nd Line IT desktop support role for both Windows and Mac software & hardware.
The role is based in Hammersmith and requires you to be on site 5 days a week working hours 9am - 6pm. So the right candidate will ideally be located within a 45min commute of Hammersmith
Your main duties will be to ensure the smooth operations of our delivery centre and to assist corporate end-users in corporate offices and remote locations with technical support of approved desktop/laptop computers, applications, and related technologies. Support includes specifications, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years desktop support experience
- Used mto working in a corporate environment
- A strong communicator with greta personable skills used to dealing with 3rd part vendors
- Can handle a large quantity of tickets in an organised and efficient manner
- Educated to degree level
- Demonstrated proficiency installing and supporting Windows 10/11.
- Experience installing and supporting Mac OS.
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic Networking concepts includingTCP/IP.
- Familiarity with common workplace productivity computing applications, eg Microsoft product suite, email clients, calendaring, Internet usage, Antivirus, inventory management and backup procedures
- Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops, and Peripheral equipment
- Experience of configuring and troubleshooting Apple and Samsung mobile devices
- Experience of administering IT management tools such as MDM, Active Directory, Remote Support (ie RDP) etc.
