Summary: This role is for an IT Support Consultant focused on the deployment, administration, and support of Palo Alto Firewalls within an infrastructure team. The position involves both business-as-usual support and participation in network security projects. The consultant will work in a hybrid model, spending 1-2 days on-site in London. The contract duration is 4 months, and the role requires strong technical skills in firewall management and network security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and install Palo Alto Firewall clusters
- Day-to-day Firewall administration and maintenance
- Maintain technical documentation
- Support and troubleshoot VPN connectivity
- Network troubleshooting and support
- Assist with upcoming Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) projects
- Work with Prisma cloud technologies, including migration activities
- Support GlobalProtect deployments and configuration
- Participate in Firewall upgrades and infrastructure improvements
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
- Experience deploying and installing Palo Alto Firewall clusters
- Prisma migration experience
- GlobalProtect implementation and support
- Good understanding of User-ID and App-ID
- VPN configuration and troubleshooting
- Strong networking and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Azure networking
- Experience with SD-WAN/Cloud WAN technologies
- Experience planning and delivering Firewall upgrades
