Summary: The IT Support Consultant for Factory Systems is responsible for providing dedicated support for factory IT systems during weekend operational hours. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving critical IT systems to ensure seamless operations as the factory transitions to a 7-day working model. The consultant will act as the primary technical liaison and collaborate with various teams to enhance IT capabilities. The position requires a commitment to working on weekends, specifically Saturday through Monday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical liaison for all IT-related issues within the factory environment.
- Monitor, update, and support factory IT systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot issues between database systems and linked applications.
- Manage user-facing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Conduct daily operations and troubleshooting of network infrastructure and IT systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting procedures and solutions.
- Participate actively in IT projects aimed at enhancing factory IT capabilities.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in supporting factory IT or similar systems in a consultant or technician role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for networks and databases, with basic knowledge of SQL.
- Proficiency with Microsoft systems and common applications used in IT support.
- Willingness and availability to work weekend shifts (Saturday to Monday).
- Hands-on experience with specific MES and WMS platforms such as WAMAS and Lighthouse (preferred).
- Ability to perform local staff training on IT systems (preferred).
