Summary: The IT Support Advisor will join the Service Desk Team in Computing and Library Services, providing first-line IT support to university customers through various communication channels. The role requires a customer-focused individual with experience in a busy IT service environment and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer experiences. Candidates must possess relevant qualifications and technical knowledge, particularly in Office 365 and Windows operating systems. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, with a focus on equality and diversity in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Deliver high-quality customer service in a busy IT service environment.
- Assist customers with basic advice and support on IT products, including Office 365 and Windows operating systems.
- Maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills while assisting users.
- Contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace environment.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Experience in a busy IT service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Office 365, Windows 10/11, and iOS operating systems.
- Ability to provide basic advice and support on a range of IT hardware.
