Summary: The IT Software Sales Account Manager role involves managing a strategic vendor account within the IT channel sales ecosystem, focusing on critical infrastructure protection. The position requires a solutions-led sales professional with experience in B2B software sales, responsible for building relationships with channel partners and delivering tailored sales conversations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a strategic vendor account within the channel sales ecosystem
  • Build strong relationships with reseller partners, understanding their customers’ needs and pain points
  • Deliver solution-led sales conversations, tailoring value propositions to the client environment
  • Provide product expertise and support the development of joint go-to-market strategies
  • Own the full sales cycle – from prospecting to deal closure – ensuring targets and KPIs are met
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting pipeline activity and tracking performance metrics
  • Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to support sales campaigns and product launches
  • Represent the company at events, webinars and meetings (travel approx. once per month)

Key Skills:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in IT channel sales, vendor sales or B2B software sales
  • Proven success in consultative, solution-based selling
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional approach
  • KPI-driven with a strong commercial mindset and revenue focus
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn complex products quickly
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and team-oriented
  • Knowledge of operational technology (OT) or critical infrastructure environments (e.g. MOD, energy, utilities, defence) - desirable
  • Experience bridging vendor-partner relationships within a distribution environment - desirable
  • Understanding of cybersecurity or industrial control system security - desirable
