Summary: The IT Software Sales Account Manager role involves managing a strategic vendor account within the IT channel sales ecosystem, focusing on critical infrastructure protection. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a strategic vendor account within the channel sales ecosystem
- Build strong relationships with reseller partners, understanding their customers’ needs and pain points
- Deliver solution-led sales conversations, tailoring value propositions to the client environment
- Provide product expertise and support the development of joint go-to-market strategies
- Own the full sales cycle – from prospecting to deal closure – ensuring targets and KPIs are met
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting pipeline activity and tracking performance metrics
- Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to support sales campaigns and product launches
- Represent the company at events, webinars and meetings (travel approx. once per month)
Key Skills:
- 1-2 years’ experience in IT channel sales, vendor sales or B2B software sales
- Proven success in consultative, solution-based selling
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional approach
- KPI-driven with a strong commercial mindset and revenue focus
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn complex products quickly
- Highly organised, self-motivated and team-oriented
- Knowledge of operational technology (OT) or critical infrastructure environments (e.g. MOD, energy, utilities, defence) - desirable
- Experience bridging vendor-partner relationships within a distribution environment - desirable
- Understanding of cybersecurity or industrial control system security - desirable
