IT Service Manager (Middleware & Database - ITSM) (Infrastructure / Managed Services)

Summary: The IT Service Manager (Middleware & Database - ITSM) is responsible for overseeing managed service providers and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role involves managing Middleware and Database estates, driving continuous improvement, and implementing process automation. The position is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring in-office presence 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of accountability for the managed service provider.
• Ensure deliverables meet or exceed agreed-upon SLAs.
• Oversee timely patching and maintenance of Middleware and Database estates.
• Develop and implement plans for proactive End-of-Life (EOL) remediation.
• Ensure new middleware and database platforms are built to QBE standards.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience with Middleware technologies (Tomcat, WebLogic, WildFly, WebSphere).
• Proficiency in Database management (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Oracle).
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and ITSM.
• Familiarity with ITIL and Service management principles.
